 Best inserts I've found for OA relief November 19, 2009

I'm physically fit and slender but I have osteoarthritis in both knees and when it flares up, these are by far the best inserts I've found. I've tried and wasted my money on several different kinds -- even special made. I first learned of them when I was at a flea market in Phoenix where, after an hour of walking around, I couldn't tolerate standing any longer, even tho I was wearing a well-known and supportive footwear. I thot I might have to find a wheel chair or purchase a cane. I found something to lean on and found myself looking into a shop with a sign asking if I had (all the symptoms I was experiencing at the moment). I tried them on and couldn't believe how quickly the discomfort of my knees and legs subsided. I've had the original pair for 5 years and still using them. Three relatives who also have OA, and who also have tried other inserts, love these. Even when my OA isn't acting up, they keep my feet and legs from tiring quickly. One thing I've noticed about their effectiveness, the better your shoe fits (i.e. not too loose) the better they work. However, they help regardless.
As you walk, the gel moves from the ball of your foot to the heel. So when you step on the ball of your foot, for example, the gel cushions the step and is then pushed back to the heel so that when you step down on your heel, it's cushioned. This technique works a lot better for me than the inserts completely filled with gel.
If your feet sweat a lot, you'll want to wash them a couple times a month. I throw mine in the washer - gentle/cold, and lay flat to dry.

The insoles are ok. I have had better ones. The money back guarantee is bogus. After you get your insoles it says right there on the package that "due to health reasons!", they can not accept unused returns!!! So .... what is the 30 day satisfaction guarantee or your money back for????

I have flat feet and was dissapointed with this purchase. The thickest part of the soles is the ball and heel of the sole, not the arch. Not likely to buy again.
